Dosetronic is a truly smart dosing station for the reef aquarium with 5 independent channels that are using high precision stepper motors. When combined with the Alkatronic, the 2 unique functions “Auto-Correction” and the “Selective-Dosing Adjustment” will auto adjust the channel(s) based on the dkh consumption of the system. These features will enable the user to achieve a very stable dkh level which in turn benefits the system as a whole for better growth and coloration. Currently, only the Dosetronic is capable of offering such unique but powerful features for the reef hobbyist and will make adjusting the schedule much easier and hassle free.

I have owned the alkatronic for close to 2 years and love it! Infact about 6 months ago I picked up a second used alkatronic so I could have one on each tank! (yes auto testing is addicting). A few months ago the dosetronic caught my eye and i'm glad it did! The dosetronic works well as a standalone 5 head doser (which is great as most are 2 or 4, so why not get a bonus head!) But the real magic comes when you pair it with an alktronic.
When paired with the alkatronic it can tweak your dosing schedule based on your test results. I started with SDA (selective dosing adjustment) and let it test every 2h for 24h and tweak my schedule. Which would bump up the hourly dose to fill in any little gaps.. After that I swapped it to ODA (overall dosing adjustment) which tweaks the whole schedule up or down by a % based on the alk test results. This method has kept my parameters extremely stable! I have also found the alkatronic/dosetronic to be one of the cheapest option to run in terms of reagent which was a huge selling point on the alkatronic.
Overall very satisfied and I would recommend this doser, especially if you already have an alkatronic or plan on getting one.
