The Flipper is quite large (4-5 in including blade x 2 in) so it covers a lot of area quickly. It flips over easily--I flip it by moving it from the side of the tank to the front. You just have to spin the magnet around once for it to grab the opposite side. It cleans the algae off the tank in one swipe and my glass is crystal clear. It's nice and thin so it gets behind rock well. The magnet is probably as strong as my koralias' and I haven't lost it in the tank yet. I recommend!

I thought I was crazy for paying this much for a tank glass scrubber but after using it, i'd pay whatever it cost. This thing actually gets the algae roots so instead of having to clean my glass daily with my old scrubber, I now only do a quick scrub maybe once a week. Oh, and my coraline algae that used to completely cover the glass on the sides of my tank is completely gone. This thing ripped right through it. Also, I've had zero problems with it scratching my glass or anything like that. The only improvement to this little device would be if they made the part that goes inside the tank float, for easier extraction from the tank.

I've been in the hobby for 34 years and this is the best and most effective magnetic cleaner I have found. It is very effective at cleaning glass aquariums with the metal blade. It gets into fairly tight spaces.

Don't make the mistake I made and wait too long to change the blade. I waited too long and got just enough coralline to grow on the blade that it made scratches on the glass before I could figure out what was happening. Now I set a timer on my phone to remind me to put a new blade on the Flipper once per month. Also be aware that if you're not very careful, you will cut up some of the silicone in the corners of your glass tank with this product.

This is AMAZING. After using run of the mill magnetic cleaners and wand style steel bladed scrapers on my glass tank, I had gotten to the point where I was not looking forward to glass duty. It's messy and only marginally effective. I received this in the morning, placed it in the tank, and 5 minutes later, all my glass was clean. DONE. It WORKS.

This is only useful for flat pane tanks. I don't think this would work well at all with rounded panels of any kind. It does come with both a stainless steel and plastic scraper attachment so you can scrape your plastic walls as well. I highly recommend you pull this out of your tank after use. It will last much longer. Whatever you do, don't leave the the side with the blade pressed up against the wall. I can imagine this would ruin the precise angle and pressure being applied over time.

I have a saltwater bow front tank. And as all of you bow front users know, getting a scraper of any sort for this kind of aquarium is impossivle, nothing is shaped for it, except for this thing.

usually I had to detach a scraper from the long arms of other scrapers and put my hand in the tank. But that's not needed anymore.

This thing is a must have, I know the price is steep but you won't regret it

I'm in a bit of disbelief. I have a very deep freshwater tank and for years have scrubbed the bloody thing with manual scrapers until my hands and arms cramped. I've tried other magnetic scrapers but none worked well enough. This losing battle led me to give up mostly and only scrub clean for viewing, and that only occasionally. Fed up I searched Amazon based on customer reviews and found this. While pricey, I thought I'd try it in case it actually worked. And...IT DOES! I was giggling and hollering as I easily cleaned parts of my tank that has haunted me for years. It's not perfect, as sometimes you have to try different angles, but it's simple and effective. LOVE IT!

AWESOME product!!! Worth every penny! I had a difficult time scrubbing the algae from our aquarium glass using a scrubber brush. This product made removing the algae so simple! My 3 year old son and I had so much fun scraping back and forth to get the algae off. It was actually fun to do that work :)
