Biopellets

Keeping nitrate and phosphate under control has never been easier thanks to bio-pellet technology. Naturally-occurring bacteria in the aquarium consume nitrate and phosphate, keeping levels low and manageable. These microbes need a digestible carbon source to keep actively removing nutrients. Biopellets made from Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are natural biodegradable polyesters. Bacteria colonize the pellets, which stimulate the bacteria to consume phosphate and nitrate. Biopellets are easy to use when used with a Reef Octopus Bio-Pellet Reactor.
